How to Set Up a Scoreboard with an MP-80 Controller
To properly configure your scoreboard, you will need two pieces of information:
Board Type: This is a two-digit code programmed into both the scoreboard and controller. You can identify your board type by reviewing the attached documentation or by sending us a clear photo of the scoreboard model number or the scoreboard itself. We will assist you in determining the correct board type.
Group Number: To identify the current group number assigned to your scoreboard, follow these steps:
Turn off your scoreboard and leave it off for approximately 10-15 seconds.
Turn the scoreboard back on. The group number will briefly appear on the scoreboard's display.
1. Set the Controller Sport and Group:
Press Menu
Press More twice
Select Equipment Setup
Choose Wireless
Select Controller
Enter the scoreboard’s group number
Select This Sport
2. Configure the Board Type:
Press Menu
Press More twice
Select Equipment Setup
Choose Wireless Scoreboard
Select Board Type
Enter the two-digit board type code
Press Enter
Enter the number displayed on your scoreboard. If none is displayed, enter 01
Press Enter again
3. Set the Scoreboard Group Number:
Press Menu
Press More twice
Select Equipment Setup
Choose Wireless Scoreboard
Select Group Number
Enter your desired group number (do not use 99 or 31)
Press Enter
Enter the number displayed on your scoreboard. If none is displayed, enter 01
Press Enter again
4. Confirm Controller Matches Scoreboard:
Press Menu
Press More twice
Select Equipment Setup
Choose Wireless
Select Controller
Re-enter the group number of your scoreboard
Select This Sport
