How to setup a scoreboard with an MP-80 controller.

To update your scoreboard, you will need to know the following:

  • The type of board you have. The board type is a two-digit code that is programmed into the scoreboard and controller.
  • The current group number set on the scoreboard.

To get the board type please review the attached document, or you can email us a picture of the model number or the board itself. We will let you know what the board type is.

To get the group number, simply turn the scoreboard off for 10-15 seconds, then turn it back on. The group number should be displayed on the screen.

Once you know the type of board you have and the group number, you can follow the instructions on our website to update your scoreboard.

Turn on the MP-80 switch it to the desired sport and set it to the same group as the scoreboards with the following buttons presses:

 

  1.       Menu
  2.       More
  3.       More
  4.       Equipment Setup
  5.       Wireless
  6.       Controller
  7.       "Enter group of scoreboard"
  8.       This Sport

 

 

Now we need to set the board type of the scoreboard

 

  1. Menu
  2. More
  3. More
  4. Equipment Setup
  5. Wireless Scoreboard
  6. Board Type
  7. "Enter Board Type"
  8. Enter
  9. "Enter Number Displaying on board" if nothing there enter "01"
  10. Enter

 

Now we need to set the group number of the scoreboard

 

  1. Menu
  2. More
  3. More
  4. Equipment Setup
  5. Wireless Scoreboard
  6. Group Number
  7. "Enter the desired group number" anything but 99 and 31
  8. Enter
  9. "Enter Number Displaying on board" if nothing there enter "01"
  10. Enter

 

Now set the controller to match the board

 

  1. Menu
  2. More
  3. More
  4. Equipment Setup
  5. Wireless
  6. Controller
  7. "Enter group of scoreboard"
  8. This Sport
